Very unusual lap steel (I want one)
Browsing around looking for something completely different when I came across this:
https://inverse-guitars.de/index.php/in ... /lapsteel2
Nice to see something really different and imaginative!

Don't think I could get used to the tuners to the right of the saddle.

That certainly fits the definition of "very unusual".
I wonder what kind of case or gig bag would fit that instrument.

Has anyone ever seen a compensating bridge on a lap steel before? I wonder what difference that makes.

It is unusual I will give it that and very nice craftsmanship sans the florescent paint! In my opinion, (and maybe I'm alone here?) less is more. Had it been all natural wood and white I think it would have been a prettier build. Not everybody likes vanilla ice cream though!
Currently own, 6 Groner-tone lap steels, one 1953 Alamo Lap steel, Roland Cube, Fender Champion 40

For that kind of money, I think I would rather just get a Clinesmith, but what do I know? I am mostly an acoustic guy. Groner-tones look great, too, though.

Hmmm yeah… the paint job is a little meh. A player would be looking at that all the time. I’d end up playing commercial jingles constantly. A curious piece. I wish they had sound clips to see what it’s all about.

I don’t think tuning with the right hand will work if you wear fingerpicks. Very strange idea.
