The Farr-Outs Band
Tony Farr, band leader and steel guitar player for
the Farr-Outs Band, has been playing music for 50 years. He got
started in music, back in his hometown of New Orleans, LA., at the age of
15. He has played for such great artists as George Jones, Claude Gray,
Willie Nelson, Billie Jo Spears, Jean Shepard, George Kent and many, many
more. He now owns Farr-Away Music and Farrview Records. He makes
his home in Madison, Tennessee.
Gary Brock, bass player and vocalist for the
Farr-Outs, has been playing music for many years. He has played all
over Texas as well as other states. Two of his favorite artists are
Ray Price and Johnny Bush. He writes music and songs, and is the
bandleader at Cowboy Church on Opryland Drive. He is also a school
teacher at Whites Creek High School in Davidson Country, Tennessee.
Tom Campbell is the fiddle, rhythm player and
vocalist for the band. He is originally from Iowa, where he has his
own band and was a disc jockey. He played for several years at the
Maxwell Inn in Franklin, Tennessee, with his own band. He has played with
several artists in the past and, by day, is a barber in Gallatin, Tennessee.
Pat Pitts, drummer and vocalist, is from Nova
Scotia, Canada. There he played professional hockey for several years
until a knee injury. He then served time in the Air Force followed by
law enforcement in Bear County, Texas. During this time, he also
pursued his music career.
Earl Erb, guitar player, was born and raised in
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and began playing guitar at a very young age. He began playing
music at the age of 9. Earl has backed some of the best known artists
in music, along with being a super session musician. Earl is married
to a very fine fiddle player, Marcie Cates.
